Any person who shall have been concerned in Witnesses betting and who shall be ('xamined as a witness before indemnified. a Magistrate on the trial of. any .person under any provision of this Act and who upon such examina- tion shall in the opinion of the Magistr;ite make true and faithful statement, and discovery to the best of his lmowledg~, of all things regarding which he shall be so examined, shall thereupon receive from the said Magistrate a certificate in writing to that effect, and shall be free from all prosecutjons under this Act for anything done before that time. .....,. .
