In Sections of the principal Act,— mea t ot Sec tion S of Assam Act I (1) in Cause (a), the punctuation ( ; ) semi- of 1957. colon at the end shall be substituted Toy the punc tuation ( , ) comma, and thereafter the following shall be inserted, namely :— “arboriculture, pisciculture, piggery, animal husbandry, poultry and other allied pursuits ; ” (2) clause (e) sh all be deleted. (3) in clause (f) the semi-colon at the end shall be deleted and the following shall be added, namely : — “and also includes land which is or may be uti lised for quarrying stones ; ” (4) in clause fk ),— (i) in sub-clause (iii) in between the words ‘village” and “within” the words “or tow n” shall be inserted. (ii) in the proviso, for the words “twenty-five” occurring in between the words “of” and “years” the words “twenty-one” shall be substituted. Amendment
