After Section 12 of lhe princlpal Ac't, as Sectlon 12A new section the following shall be inserted a.fter Section namely :- 12 of the Assam Act f of J910. ''l 2A.-The State· by notification - Government may, '(1) prohibit into the areas to which this Act applies the publication or ><lisplay of advertisements 'of liquor 578 THE ASSAM GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, SEPT. 23, 1976 or intoxicating pneparaUons in the News papers, Periodicals, Journals, Hoardings, Banners etc., printed and published in and from that area ; (2) prohibit into the areas to which this Act applies the entry of News papers, Journals, Periodicals etc., if they contain advertisement of liquor or intoxicating preparations."
