- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the Assam Excise (Amendment) Act,2018 (2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act
- S. 2Section 2 defines "public place" as any area accessible to the public, including conveyances on public roads.

- S. 12Section 12 amends the Assam Excise Act to specify conditions under which certain sections can be enforced without reports from specific officers.
