The State Government may, by notification — (1) prohibit into the areas to which this Act applies the publication or display of advertisement of liquor or intoxicating preparations in the newspapers, periodicals, journals, hoardings, banners etc. printed and published in and from that area. 796 THE ASSAM GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, OCT. 11, 2000 (2) prohibit into the areas to which this Act applies *d5e entry of newspapers, journals etc. if any contain advertisement of liquor or intoxicating preparations. Passes for im port, export and transport. Manufacture and prepara tion for manu facture permit ted only under licence.
