(1) T his Act may be called the Assam Elemen- exten t an d t g ry E ducation A,ct, 1962. fnen” e n C e (2) extends to the whole of Assam except the Autonomous Districts: 107 Definitions. Provided that the Governor may, with the consent of the District Council concerned, extend all or any of the provisions of this Act to all or any of the Auto nomous Districts on such date or dates as may be noti fied in this behalf. (3) It shall come into force at once.
