In sub-section (1) of section 18 of the princi- 01 section 18 p aJ Act,— of Assam Act VIII of 1965' (1) item No. (ii), namely “ (ii) the Pro-Chan cellor,” No. (iv), namely “ (iv) the Rector,” and No. (v), namely “ (v) the Minister of Education of any other State or States, if any, to which the jurisdiction of the Uni versity may extend,” shall be deleted and the subsequent item Nos. (iii) to (xxiii) shall be renumbered accordingly ; (2) for sub-section (2) the following shall be substituted:— “ (2) On dates to be fixed by the Vice- Chancellor the Court shall meet at least twice a year at the interval of about 6 months. The first meeting in the year is to be called and treated as the Annual General Meeting, in which the annual statement of account!, the audit report and the budget of . the University for the next finan cial year, together with the views of the Executive Council shall be presented.” Amendment 9 j n section 19 of the principal Act, in clause °ofSeAs°am (b) for the words “such comments” in 1965V 1 I I°f between the words “with” and “ if any” the word “ modification” shall be substi tuted.
