r “ (5) Whenever there is any temporary vacancy in the office of the Vice-Chancellor by reason of leave, illness or other cause, the Chancellor shall make such other arrangements as he may think fit for exercising the powers and performing the duties of the Vice-Chancellor during the absence. The Chancellor shall determine the emoluments or allowances payable to a person temporarily appointed to exer cise the power and duties of the Vice- Chancellor.”
