(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the first Rector and the first Regis trar shall be appointed by the Chancellor on such terms and conditions as he may deem fit. 2) At any time after the commencement of this Act, any officer of the University may be appointed by the Vice-Chan cellor with the previous sanction of the Chancellor. 32 (3) The teachers of the University may be appointed by the Chancellor after consi dering the recommendations of an Advi sory Committee consisting of the Vice- Chancellor and such other person or persons as the Chancellor thinks fit to associate with himself. 1,4) Any appointment made under sub-sections (2) and (3) shall be for a period not exceeding five years and on such condi tions as the appointing authority thinks fit to specify provided that no such ap pointment shall be made until financial arrangement has been made thereof.
