(1) Any members of the Village Council may, at any time by giving notice in writing addressed to the President, resign his office: Provided that in case of the President the notice shall be addressed to the Vice -President. 1610 THE ASSAM GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, MAY 17, 2005 Removal of members of the Village Council. (2) Such resignation shall take effect from such date as specified in the notice or if no such date is specified, from the date of its receipt by the office bearer addressed.
