In sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Assam n io f is s i. o' j w A“ IH Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1934, for the sentence “ Th e rem ainder of the Act shall come into force in such area and on such date as the Local Government may by notification direct ”, the following sentence shall be substituted, namely :— “ Th e remaining provisions of this Act, in whole or in part, shall come into force in such areas and on such dates as the Local Govern ment may, by notification in the Assam Gazette, specify and for this purpose different dates may be specified for different provisions of this Act and for different areas Price— English :!</.] [Indian 1 anna . a ls.
