(1) For the entries above the proviso in the second column and for the entriea in the third column, in Aiticle 11 in the same schedule to the said Act, the following shall be oubstituted, namely :— “ When the amount or value Two per centum, of the property in respect of which the grant of probate or letters is made exceeds two thousand rupees, on such amount or value up to ten thousand rupees, and when suoh amount or value Three per cen- exceeds ten thousand rupees, turn, on the portion of such am unt or value which is in excess of ten thousand rupees, up to fifty thousand rupees, and when such amount or Four per centum, value exceeds fifty thousand rupees, <>n the portion of such amount or value which is in excess of fifty thousand rupees, up to a lakb of rupees, and when such amount or value Five per centum, exceeds a lakh of rupees on the port i n of such amount or value which is in < xcess of a lakh of rupees up to two lakhs and fifty thousand rupees, aud when such amount or value Five and a half ex eeds two lakhs and t fty per centum, thou-and rupees, on the por­ tion of such amount or value which is in excess of two lakhs and fifty thousand rupees up to three lakhs of rupees, and s I when such amount or value exceeds three lakhs of rupees, on the portion of such amount or value which is in excess of three lakhs of rupees up to four lakhs of rupees, and when such amount or value exceeds four lakhs of rupees, on the portion of such amount or value which is in excess of four lakhs of rupees up to five lakhs of rupees, and Six per centum. Six and a half per centum. when such amount or value Seven per cen- exceeds five lakhs of rupees, turn.” on the portion of such amount or value which is in excess of five lakh? of rupees. (2) In the proviso for the words and figures “ the Succession Certificate Act, 1889” the words and figures “ the Indian Succession Act, 1925” shall be substituted. asbsttwyoa^n For Article 12 of the first schedule to the wjJticbiK ea>d Aot the following article shall be substituted, namely:— " 12. Certi­ ficate under the Indian Succession Aet, 1926. or value of any debt or security specified in the certificate under seotion 374 of the Act exceeds one thousand rupees, When the amount fTwo per centum on the first ten thousand rupees, three per centum on the next forty thousand rupees, four per centum on the next fifty thonsand rupees, five per cen­ tum on the next one lakh and fifty thou­ sand rupees, five and a half per centum on the next fifty thousand rupees, six per centum on the next one lakh of rupees, six and a half per centum on the next one lakh of rupees, and and 6 3 itven per centum on the remainder of inch amount or value. When the aggre­ gate amount or value of any debts or securi­ ties specified in the certificate and of an y debts or securi­ ties to which the certificate has been ex­ tended under section 376 of • the Act exceeds one thousand rupees. In respect of such por­ tion of the aggre­ gate amount or value as ionsistsof the amount or value of debts or securi­ ties so specified, the fee hereinbefore pro­ vided in that behalf in this article and three per centum on such portion of the first ten thousand ranees, four and a half per centum on such portion of the next forty thousand rupees, six per centum on such por­ tion of the next fifty thousand rupees, seven and a half per centum on such portion of the next one lakh and fifty thousand rupees, eight and a quarter per centum on such portion of the next fifty thou­ sand rupees, nine per centum on such portion of the next one lakh of rupees, nine and three- quarters per centum on such portion of the next one lakh of rupees, and IS. Certificate under the Indian Snecanion Act, ISM. ten and a half per centam on such por­ tion of the remainder of such aggregate amount or value as consists of the amount or value of debts or securities to which the certificate has been extended.
