Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Statutes may provide for all/any of the following matters, namely: (i) the conferment of honorary Degrees; (ii) the Institution of Fellowships, Scholarship, Exhibition and prizes; (iii) the terms of office, the method of appointment and the conditions of service of the officers of the University; Civ) the designation and the powers of the officers of the University; (v) the constitution, powers and duties of the authorities of the University; (vi) the establishment of constituent Colleges and Hostels and their maintenance: Cvii) the constitution of Pensions, Insurance and Provident Funds for the benefit of the officers, teachers, clerical and other staff; (viii) the maintenance of a register of registered graduates; and (ix) all matters, which by this Act, are to be or may be prescribed by the Statutes.
