Ins. by Assam Act No. XXI of 1966. 7 (2) If there is any standing crop in the new holding on the date of enforcement, then the person from whom possession has been transferred shall be given the option to tend, harvest and gather the said crop. In case of his refusal to exercise the option, the Consolidation Officer may order the owner of the new holding to tend, harvest and gather the crop and pay compensation as fixed by him to the person from whom possession has been transferred. Ejectment of un-authorised occupant.
