In this Chapter unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) “Co-perative Credit Structure Society” means a State Co­ operative Bank and a Primary Agricultural Credit Society; (b) "State Co-operative Bank” means a Co-operative society engaged in the business of banking as defined under section 5(b) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 and section 2(u) of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Act, 1981; (c) "Primary Agricultural Credit Society” means a co-operative society as defined under clause (cciv) of section 5 of Banking Regulation Act, 1949 and includes a Multi-purpose Co-operative Society; (d) "Multi-purpose Co-operative Society” means a Primary Co­ operative Society the object of which is to provide various services including services related to savings, credit, business, industry, consumer durables to its members; (e) “Chartered Accountant” means a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India within the meaning of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949; (f) “Reserve Bank” means the Reserve Bank of India established under section 3 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934; (g) “National Bank” means the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development established under section 3 of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Act, 1981.
