Section 42

(1) The term of office of the Directors shall be three cooperative years

(1) The term of office of the Directors shall be three cooperative years. (2) The term of representative of an affiliated society shall be co- terminus with the term of Board of such cooperative society : Provided that the said representative shall cease to be a representative if the Board of the society which he represents is dissolved. : Provided further that a director representing a credit society or a finance society to a higher tier of such society shall be disqualified to continue in the board in the event of the society which he represents commits default in repayment for a period exceeding 90 days. (3) Any causal vacancy in the office of the Director shall be filled in accordance with the provisions of the bye-laws and the Director so elected shall hold office for the unexpired term of his predecessor.
