(i ) In sections 2, 3, 5, 8 and 12 of the e,0” V ’in' Assam Births and Deaths Registration Act, 19 35 12, is,'i«*nd (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words “ Magistrate of the dis tr ic t” wher ever they occur, the words “District Magistrate” shall be substituted. (ii) In sections 8 and 13 of the principal Act, for the word “ Magistrate ” the words “ District Magistrate ” shall be substituted.
