In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- (a) "State Laws" means and includes any State Act, any Ordinance promulgated by the Governor, any order, rule, regulation or bye law issued under the Constitution or under any State Act ; (b) "Governor" means the Governor of Assam ; (c) "State Government" means the State Government of Assam ; (d) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
