Voluntary contribution.-The Superintendent may receive voluntary contributions towards the cost of maintaining a protected monu- - ment and may give orders as to the management and application:>of any funds s6 received by him : Provided that no contribution received under this section shall be applied to any pur~ose other than the purpose for which it was contributed.
