Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act shall be called “The Assam Agricultural Pests and Diseases Act. 1950”, (2) It extends to the whole of Assam. (3) It shall come into force on such date1 as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette appoint in this behalf.
