In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context- (1) "Land" and "person interested" have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Act I of 1894). (2) "Collector" means the Deputy Commissioner or Subdivisional Officer in charge of a subdivision. Power to acquire land.
