The State Govemment may, by noti{ication in the official gazette : (i) appoint such persons, being gazetted otlicer of the Government, as it thinks fit, to be Estate Officers lor the purposes ol this Act ; and (ii) def ine the local limits within which or the categories of public premises in respect of whlch, the Estate Officer shall exercise the power conferred, and perform the duties imposed, on Estale Otficers by or under this Act.
