(1) The additional Deputy Commissionershall be the Member Secretary of the Zilla Parishad (2) As soon as may be after a Zilla Parishad is constituted,the Zilla Parishad shall in the prescribed manner from amongst its members a Chairperson who shall, subject to the other provisions of the Act hold office for a period of five years, with effect from such date as may be notified· by the Government. (3) Not less than one-third of the total number of offices of Chairperson in the State shall be reserved for women: Provided that the number of offices reserved under this Section shall be allotted by rotation to different Zilla Parishads within the State in such manner as may be prescribed. ( 4) If a casual vacancy occurs in the office of the Chairperson of the Zilla Parishad, the persons elected in the manner specified in sub-section (2) of section 60 fill such vacancy shall hold office for the remainder of the term of the Chairperson in whose place he/she is elected.
