Deputation of staff and punishment on breach of official duty : (1) The State Government shall depute staff from Government or Semi Government Organisations of the State Government for the conduct of all elections to the Municipal Corporation and the officers or staff em ployed in connection with the preparation, revision and correction of the electoral rolls for, and the conduct of all elections shall be deemed to be on deputation with the State Election Commission for the period during which they are so employed and such officers and staff shall, during that period, be subject to the control, superintendence and discipline of the State Election Commission. 1 o The Arunachal Pradesh Extraordinary Gazette, October 1, 2019 (2) If any person deputed on election duty under sub-section (1) disobeys any orders issued by an officer appointed to conduct the election under this Act regarding the performance of an election duty or deliberately abstains himself from duty or contravenes any provision of this Act and the rules made thereunder, he shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.
