(1) Subject to the provision of section 340, every person who intends to execute any of the works specified in sub-section (b) of clause (1) of section 339 shall apply to the Chief Municipal Executive Officer/ Municipal Executive Officer for sanction by giving a notice, in writing of his intension in such form and containing such information as may be prescribed. (2) Every such notice shall be accompanied by such documents and plans as may be prescribed.
