Having regard to the provision of articles 243ZD and article 243ZEof the Constitution of India and of any State Law enacted under these articles a Municipality shall participate in the election of members of the District Planning Committee or the Metropolitan Planning Committee, as the case may be and such members shall actively represent the interests of the Municipality in such committees.
