The Municipality may, either on its own or through any other agency, cause the solid wastes to be disposed of at such place or places within or outside the municipal area, and in such manner, as it considers suitable: Provided that no place which has not been used before the commencement of this Act for the purpose specified in this section, shall be so used, except- i. in conformity with the provisions of any State Law relating to development planning and land use control or any other law relating thereto for the time being in force, or Duty of Municipality in respect of solid wastes management and handling. Entrustment of Management and handling of sold wastes and billing and collection of charge. Functions of Municipality. Solid wastes to be property of Municipality. Appointment of places for disposal and final disposal of solid wastes. ii. in the absence of any such law, with the approval of the State Government; Provided further that the solid wastes shall not be finally disposed of in any manner which the State Government may think fit to disallow.
