The Chief Municipal Executive Officer/ Municipal Executive Officer may' subject to such terms and conditions as may be 'specified by regulations from time to time, require- (a) the provision of separate supply-pipes for each land or building or each storey of a building, (b) the owner of a land or building or the person primarily liable for payment of tax in respect of a land or building, having no supply' or inadequate supply, of wholesome water for domestic purposes, to take supply of water from the mains of the Municipality and to set up electric pumps for the purpose, and (c) the occupier of any land or building to which water is supplied by the Municipality, to keep the supply pipes in efficient repair.
