(1) '1 39 The Executive Committee shall meet at least once an six months and not less than 15 days notice shall be given for such meeting. Four members of the Executive Committee shall constitute a quorum for any meeting thereof. ln case of difference of opinion among the members, the opinion of the majority shallprevail. Each member of the Executive Committee shali have one vote if there shall be equality of votes on any question to be determined by the Executive Committee, the Chairperson of the Executive Commiftee or the person presiding over the meeting, shall, in addition, have a casting vote. Everymeetingof the Executive Committee shall be presided over by the Chairperson and in his absence by arnember chosen by the members present to preside on the occasion. It urgent action by the Executive Committee becomes necessary, the Chancellor may permit the business to be transacted by circulation of papers of the members of the Executive Committee. The action proposed to be taken shall not be so taken unless agreed to by the maiority of the members of the Executive Committee. The aclion so laken shall be forthwith intimated to all the members of the Executive Committee and the papers shall be placed before the next meeting of the Executive Committee for confirmation. Subject tb the provisions of this Act and the regulations made in this behalf, the Executive Committee may, by resolution, constitute such standing committee or appoint Ad hoc Committees for such purposes and with such powers as the Executive Committee may think fit for exercising any power for discharging any function of the university or for enquiring into, reporting or advising upon any matter relating to the lnstitute. Powerc and duties of the Academic Serate. 140 (2) The Executive Committee may co-opt. such person to the Standing Committee or Ad hoc Commiftee as it consider suitable and permit them to attend the meeting of the Executive Committee. '12. Executive Committee may, by resolution, delegate to the Registrar or to a committee such of its power as it may deem fit subject to the condition that the action taken by the Registrar or such committee in the exercise of powers so delegated shall be reported at the next meeting to the Executive Committee.
