The Provost : (1) The Provost shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor for such period and in such manner as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (2) The Provost shall ensure discipline in the University and shall keep the various unions of the teachers and employees advised of the various policies and practices in the University. (3) The Provost shall exercise such other porrers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Statutes. '15. The Proctor: (1) The Proclor shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor for such period and in such manner as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (2) The Proctor shall be responsible for the maintenance of discipline among the students and keep the various students' unions ad- vised of the various policies and practices in the University. (3) The Proctor shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Statutes. 16, The Dean of Faculty : (1) There shall be a Dean of each Faculty who shall be appointed by the Chancellor or the Vice-Chancellor for a period of three years in such manner as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (2) The Dean shallconvene meetings ofthe faculty, as and when required, in consultation with the Vice-Chancellor and shall preside over the same. He shall formulate the policies and development programme of the faculty and presents the same to the appropriate authorities for their consideration. (3) The Dean of Faculty shallexercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
