Release from requisitioning discharge of liability of the State Government :- ( l) The State Government may. at any time. release any property requisitioned under this chapter and in such a case the possession of the property released from requisition shall be delivered to the Governing Council or any person from whose possession the property requisitioned was taken or if there were no such Governing Council or person. the person deemed by the State Government to be entitled to the possession of such property, and such delivery or possession shall be full discharge of the State Government from all liabilities in respect of that property which any other person may be entitled. by the due process of law, to enforce against the person to whom possession of the property is so delivered. 531 (2) Where the person to whom possession of any such property is to be delivered cannot be found or has no agent or other person empowered to accept delivery on his behalf the State Government shall cause to be published in the Official Gazette a notice declaring that the property is released from requisition. and in the case of any immovable property, the State Government shall also cause a copy thereof to be affixed, on some conspicuous part of such property. (3) \Vhen the notice referred to in sub-section (2) is published in the Official Gazette. the property specified in such notice shall cease to be subject to requisition on and from the date of such publication and shall be deemed to have been delivered to the person entitled to possession thereof, and the State Government shall not be liable for any amount, rent or other claim in respect of such property for any period after the said date.
