In all cases in which it is provided under this Act that an appeal may be filed against any decision or order within a specified period, the appellate authority may admit an appeal after the expiry of such period, if the appellant satisfied the appellate authority that he had sufficient cause for not preferring the appeal within such period. 122.The Government and the Registrar may call for and examine the record of any enquiry or the proceedings of any other matter conducted by any officer subordinate to Cognizance of offences. Extension of period of limitation by appellate authority in certain cases. Power of them for the purpose of satisfying themselves as to the legality or property of any decision or order passed and as to the regularity of the proceedings of such officer.
