Any person who has made a claim under this Chapter or any forest officer or other person generally or specially empowered by the [State]1 Government in this behalf, may within three months from the date of any order passed on such claim by the Forest Settlement Officer under sections 11, 12, 13, or 14. present an appeal from such order to such officer of the Revenue Department, of rank not lower than that of a Deputy Commissioner, as the [State]1 Government may, by notification in the [Arunachal Pradesh]2 Gazette, appoint by name, or as holding an office, to hear appeals from such orders.
