Objecb ofthe University : (1) The objects of the University shallbe to disseminate and advance kno\,\rledge by providang instructionaland research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit, to make special provisions for professionaland vocational courses in management, agriculture, . humanities, social sciences, education, law, medical, science and technology in its educational programmes; to take appropriate measures for promoting innovations in teaching Jearning process and inter-disciplinary studies and research; to educate and train manpower for the development of the state and the country; to establish linkages with industries for the promotion of science and technology; and to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economical conditions and welfare of the people, their intellectual, academicand cultural development. (2) The university shall achieve the objectives set forth above through the Board ofGovernors, the Board of Management and theAcademic Senate in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
