DiEctor : (1) The Darector shall be a whole time offlcer of the university and shall be appointed by the Board of Management with the priorapproval of the Chancellor. The emoluments and otherterms and conditions of employmentof the Director shall be those contained in the contract of employment. He shall exercise such powers and discharge such duties as may be conferred or imposed by the Chancellor or as may be prescribed by the statutes. (2) When the office of the Director is vacant or when the Director is, by reason of illness, absence or any other cause, unable to perform the duties of his office, the duties of the office shall be performed by such person as the Chancellor may appoint for the purpose.
