Short title, extent and commencement- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1958. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Andhra Pradesh. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act or for different areas or for different classes of undertakings or for different classes of goods, by notifications issued from time to time.
