Appointment of the first Vice-Chancellor, the first Registrar and the first Finance Officer - (1) Notwithstanding anything in this Act and the Statutes, the first Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor in consultation with the Sponsoring Institution for a period to be fixed by him but not exceeding three years. (2) The first Registrar and the first Finance Officer shall be appointed by the Sponsoring Institution in consultation with the first Vice Chancellor for a period to be fixed by it but not exceeding three years.
