The Schools and the Boards of studies - (1) The University shall include the Schools of- (a) Fine Arts; (b) Science; (c) Social Sciences; (d)Languages; (e) Commerce; (f) Women’s Development Studies; (g) Such other Schools as may be prescribed by the statutes. (2) Each school shall consist of such departments of teaching as may be prescribed by the statutes. (3) The constitution, powers and functions of the Schools, the Board of Studies, and of such other bodies as may be declared by the statutes to be authorities of the University shall be prescribed by the statutes. (4) (a) There shall be a Dean for each school who shall be appointed by the Executive Council on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor from amongst the members of the School concerned. (b) The terms and conditions of the Office of Dean shall be prescribed by the students. (c) A separate Board of Studies shall be attached to each department of teaching.
