(2) All decisions shall be taken by a majority of members of the Committee, present and voting. (3) The term of office of the Committee constituted under this section shall be two years. A parent member shall however cease to be a member when he has no enrolled child in the Mandal Praja Parishad School or when recalled by the Parent Teacher Association concerned in the manner prescribed. 2[Provided that the Government, may extend the term of office of the Committee for a period not exceeding one year at a time.] (4) The 3[Mandal Education Management Committee] shall monitor the functioning of the schools under the control of the Mandal Parishad, literacy 1 .
