Short title, extent and commencement - (1) This Act may be called 3[the Andhra Pradesh Requisitioning of Buildings Act, 1954]. (2) It extends to the whole of the 4[State of Andhra Pradesh]. (3) It shall come into force at once in the municipality of Guntur and in the area within a distance of five miles from the limits of that municipality; and it shall come into force in any other 5[specified area] in the State on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the 6[Andhra Pradesh Gazette], appoint.
