Penalties for contravention – (1) If any person willfully contravenes, or attempts to contravene, or knowingly abets the contravention of, any of the provisions of this Act or any rule made thereunder, he shall be punished with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees and in the case of continuing contravention with an additional fine which may extend to one hundred rupees for every day during which such contravention continues after conviction for the first such contravention. (2) If any person willfully obstructs any authority officer or person, from entering any private educational institution in the exercise of any power conferred on it or him by or under this Act, he shall be punished with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees.
