Powers and Duties of the Director. - (1) The Director shall be the Chief Executive and Academic officer of the Constituent Institute. He/She shall preside over the meetings of the Finance Committee and 39 [Institute Management Council.] (2) Without prejudice to the generality of the provisions contained in sub-section (1), the Director shall,- (a) exercise general supervision and control over the affairs of the constituent Institute; (b) ensure implementation of the decision of the 40[authorities of the university an constituent Institutes] and responsible for imparting of instruction and maintenance of discipline in the constituent Institute; (c) exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be assigned to him under the Act or as may be delegated to him by the Governing Council or the 41[Vice- Chancellor], as the case may be. 39.substituted by the Act No.3 of 2024,S.14 40.substituted by the Act No.3 of 2024,S.14
