Nature of evidence - The Commissioner or the District Magistrate or the Tribunal may for the purpose of satisfying himself or itself as to whether the conditions necessary for the making or confirmation of an order under section 3 or section 6 exist or not, take into consideration any evidence which he or it considers to have probative value, and the provisions of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 (Act 1 of 1872) shall not apply.
