Repeal of Ordinance No.1 of 2014. 2 THE ANDHRA PRADESH POLICE (REFORMS) ACT, 2014 (ACT No.9 of 2014) [22nd September,2014] 1[ “AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR SELECTION AND APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE (HEAD OF POLICE FORCE) AND MATTERS CONNECTED THEREWITH OR INCIDENTAL THERETO.”]. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Sixty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER I 1.Short title extent and commencement - 1 (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Police (Reforms) Act, 2014; (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Andhra Pradesh; (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 20th July, 2014.
