Contribution to expenditure by other local authorities- If the expenditure incurred by the Government or by any other gram panchayat or the *[Mandal Praja Parishad] or *[Zilla Praja Parishad] or by any other local authority in the State for any purpose authorised by or under this Act is such as to benefit the inhabitants of the village, the gram panchayat may, with the sanction of the Commissioner, and shall, if so directed by him, make a contribution towards such expenditure.
