Testing of weights and measures- The executive authority or any person authorised by him may examine and test the weights and measures used in the markets and shops in the village with a view to the prevention and punishment of offences relating to such weights and measures under chapter XIII of the Indian Penal Code (Central Act 45 of 1860).
