Modification of the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) Places of Public Resort Act, 1888 - Notwithstanding in the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) Places of Public Resort Act, 1888 or any other Act similar thereto for the time being in force in the State, when the Government extend that Act to any village or part thereof,- (a) the authority to whom application shall be made for a licence under that Act in respect of any place or building to be used exclusively for purposes other than the holding of cinematograph exhibitions and who may grant or refuse such licence shall be the executive authority; and (b) the appeal from the order of the executive authority granting, refusing, revoking or suspending a licence under that Act shall lie to the gram panchayat.
