Penalty for setting up wharves, quays, etc., without permission – Any person who contravenes the provision of section 36 shall, on conviction, be punishable with fine which shall not be less than ten thousand rupees but which may extend to five lakh rupees for the first contravention and with a further fine which may extend to five lakh rupees for each day after the first during which the contravention continues.
