Short title, extent, commencement and application - (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board Act, 2018. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Andhra Pradesh. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint. (4) It applies to all non-major Ports in the State to which the Indian Ports Act, 1908 (Act No 15 of 1908) and the amended Acts, if any, by the Government of India, applies on the date of the commencement of this Act, and all other non-major Ports in the State with effect from such date, as may be declared by the State Government by notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.
