As from the appointed day, there shall be added— (a) to the State of Andhra Pradesh, the territories specified in the First Schedule which shall thereupon cease to form part of the State of Madras; and (b) to the State of Madras, the territories specified in the Second Schedule which shall thereupon cease to form part of the State of Andhra Pradesh.
